SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM INFORMATION
The 17th Artillery Regiment Association annually awards scholarship grants to eligible 17th Artillery family members.
Each year at the yearly reunion, the association members approve how many scholarship awards may be granted to eligible 17th Artillery family members. The number and dollar amount of awards depends on donations received during the year.
The scholarship program is formally announced each year in the January Newsletter “The Castle”. Once the annual program is announced, the Scholarship Program Chairman will send out scholarship applications. Applicants have until mid-March to return the completed application. Scholarship program rules & instructions are provided with the scholarship application.
Interested students may contact the chairman before January and express an interest in the scholarship program and have their name placed on a list for the following year’s scholarship program.
Once the annual scholarship program is announced, individuals may request a scholarship application packet from: Dr. Gilbert A. Bernabe, 2916 Sedalia Trail, Sherman, TX 75092; or via telephone: (903) 421 – 6266; or email: Gilbernabe29@aol.com. When leaving a phone message, please provide your name and phone number.
