I just want to take a moment and wish all of you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS! Also take a moment and reflect back over the last year about how you could help someone now and this upcoming year. Remember JESUS is the reason for the season.
Thank You for having a great web page. My Uncle was Norman Moran. He died in Italy during WWII in 1943. I am the fellow that supplied the photo for your entry. I also have his old letters from A Battery, with the Censors stamp, that he mailed home, in addition, a letter returned home that showed he was deceased in Italy. Interesting to see the V-Mail and letter head from A Battery. Info is sparse on his demise but I can see from your web page that he probably participated in Arrowhead. Thanks Again.
Had a nice visit with Buford Calfee and his wife in Pigeon Forge on Thursday afternoon. Since I didn't get to the REUNION at Fort Sill I wanted to get with Buford if possible while I was in Tennessee.
I often reflect on my days as SP-4/acting Seargant with the Service Battery 1st/17th Arty based at Camp McIntyre - Korea DMZ 1965-66. Great experience with a wonderful Battalion!
