Ref. BILL BEERS-I spoke with Bill this afternoon after he received some disturbing news from the Dr.s. He had a CT scan and blood work done recently. The results were that he was one step away from dialysis with a non-alcoholic fatty liver; an enlarged spleen, and water retention in a cavity.

Ref. BILL BEERS-I ask the association for prayers for Bill Beers and the family of Spec 5 Charles D Dicken (101 Airborne 1967). Bill was wounded in Operation Junction City. He was placed along side of other soldiers that were believed to be deceased. He said a "Dust off" (Medivac) came for them and they were taking only the wounded. When it started to leave, he put his arm over his face to keep the dirt out of his eyes. The crew chief saw Bill's movement and told the pilot not to leave that one was still alive. The crew chief pulled Bill in by his wrist and Bill woke up several days later in a hospital.
The crew chief ended up living not far from where Bill was from and belonged to several organizations that Bill did.
The crew chief was Charles D. Dicken Sept. 18,1943-2021 of Ridgeley, W. VA.
