CommentsKorean Vets- 1950 I found an interesting article by Major Edward Williamson who interviewed members of the 17th FA in 1950 in Korea. It was titled " Action at Kuni-ri: The 17th Field Artillery Battalion". It deals mainly with Battery A and mentions Capt. Allen Meyers A Btry CO, Lt. Donald Judd XO, Sgt. Preston Bryson Commo Chief, Sgt Harrington Hawkins Section #2 Chief, LTC Elmer Harrelson BN CO. Major Joseph Prusaitis BN S-3. Anyone wishing a copy of the article or the site on the net contact me. CommentsGreat site, well organized and easy to navigate. Happy to see the Red Legs so well represented on the web. I served with 1/30 FA along the Cambodian border in 69-70. Reunions are an important part of any organization and I encourage everyone to participate.
CommentsGreeting Brother CCCCs (Comanche County Cannon Cockers) I was not with the 17th but with C Battery 5th Battalion 22nd Field Artillery - First Field Forces in Vietnam. I have set up a small web site for those of us that served at LZ Sandy. If anyone would like to visit it is www.geocities.com/coach_don/LZ_Sandy.html Great website gents. I only hope that someday my site will look half as good as yours because then I will know that I have done something great.
Commentsyour website is very nice. I ran across it at classmates.com through a message on the board. i served in the 6th bn 32nd field arty in 67-68. I was a radio operator attached to the south Korean tigers running radio relay with them in the hills of the central highlands. base camp was on the shores of the south china sea located near tuy hoa. welcome home to all my friends with the 17th. god bless this country
CommentsI was looking at the pics of the 2001 reunion and saw that James Breen was a member. I had the honor of serving under him in'65 when he was BC of A Battery, 2/17th. If he sees this feedback I hope he may remember me, the non-G.I. FDC Computer. Also, what ever happened to Sgt. Evans' goat?
CommentsI was with B-battery 2/17th in Nam from Oct.67-Oct.68 out on Hwy19 An Khe. I worked in FDC and fixed commo lines, and called out fire missions. Like to hear from any one who served with me.

CommentsEven though we still have 7 month's to go before our Annual Reunion in Colorado Springs, it's never to early to start making plans to attend. Our President, Norm (Richard) Jones is getting the Registration packages ready to be mailed. As an extra incentive and also to see if anybody reads the Guestbook, the Association will host a dinner for the first 20 Registrations (Attendee and one Guest), with the words "Free Diner" written on the bottom of the Registration form, that I receive. I hope that We get at least 150 17th Artillery Vets to attend. See you in Colorado this coming August.
