CommentsTook troopship USN Gordon to Nam and served with C Btry FDC 65-66. Glad to see the 17th on line. Great job Ed Hitchner. The site should put the Association in contact with many more 17th Vets and also the many other veteran organizations on line.
CommentsI'm so pleased to see the 17th Artillery website up and running. I served with C Btry 2/17th, FB Doris K and FB Aquarious in 1970-71. I hope to see former and current Vets and Soldiers get hooked up with the 17th Arty Reg Assoc. and I'll be looking forward to seeing all at Ft Sill this next Summer.
CommentsMy wife and I enjoyed receiving several cards this season and have continued to receive thank yous from those who attended the reunion. Don't know if we will be able to attend the next reunion given all that is going on this year. My youngest daughter graduates from high school this year. Best wishes for a great year to everyone.

CommentsI was a member of "A" Battery 2nd Bn 17th Artillery. I was assigned in January 1966 through July 1966. We were attached to the 1st Cav div. Our area of operations at that time was Bong Son, Pleiku, Kontoom, and in a place we called "Happy Valley". Base camp was located at An Khe. Some of you remember our mascot, Pvt Action.
CommentsTo all former C Btry comrades at FB Doris K and FB Aquarius, Vietnam 70-71; if you didn't show up at the reunion last June because you owed me money, don't worry. I've forgotten about it. I hope to see a lot more of you at Ft Sill this coming June.
CommentsHappy holidays. I am in contact with Eugene Lqandrum, son of B.Gen Landrum, who served with HQ&HQ in Korea in 52-53. The Lt. Col.(retired) served with the old horse artillery at Sill in the late 30s. He now lives in Springfield, Ill. and operate a tour boat out of Washington Island, Wis, in the summer. Still active in his 80s.

CommentsSFC. Mitchell Arnett (RET) I was in A 2/17 1976-1977 at Camp Pelham Korea. I was the FO section chief and spent 1/3 my time at OPs in the DMZ. Hope all of you that I served with are well.

CommentsHello, I served with the 2/17th FA C Battery in Ban Me Thout, Vietnam during the time period of April 1970 to March 1971. As always, I would be glad to hear from any of you who served there with me and also with any members before or after my time. The two reunions that were held were just fantastic. I encourage everyone to attend the next one in June of 2001. You will only be strangers for a few seconds and then it will be like we never left one another. Please come and join the 17th Artillery Regiment Association.
