I hope all are doing well. I haven't been much help the past two weeks trying to keep in touch with sick members. I've had a few bad days lately of my own but I think the worst was learning my only first cousin passed away a week ago Wed. He found out the first of the year that he was unaware he was in Stage four cancer. Even up into his death they could not find out where the source was. He lived with his family in Phoenix, AZ. He was a Navy veteran and a "young" 58 years old. Please keep my cousin, David Allgood's, family in your prayers.

Don Brooks called me last night and told me that Ron Henderson just came home from the hospital due to Covid and cancer treatment.
I spoke with his wife Sherry and several family members on speaker phone. Ron said he was very weak and couldn’t walk at the present time. We prayed together and a card is being sent as well.

REF: Richard Flowers- I spoke with Phyllis and Richard Flowers last night after Gil informed me of Richard being in a car accident a few weeks ago. Phyllis told me about it by phone after I called them. Richard stated he was bruised up pretty badly in his ribs but had been improving in the last few weeks. He had to wear a heart monitor for a few weeks but everything seems okay with that now. He also advised he was in the car by himself and was happy he wasn’t hurt worse and that he was by himself. He was very happy to talk about “our” time in the 17th’s 20 year Club. 😊 They hope to make Williamsburg next year.

As those who attended the Reunion I Colorado know, I had my gall bladder removed just before leaving for Colorado on my Harley. I am recovering nicely and am looking forward to next year’s Reunion. Thanks to those that signed the get well card at the Reunion. It’s greatly appreciated. 😍

Ref.-Nancy Melasecca (John’s wife)- I received an email yesterday from Nancy stating she had broken one of her ankles and is having surgery today (Thursday). She is just recovering from a knee problem. I have no further info at this time. Please keep her and the family in your prayers for a good and speedy recovery.

Ref. Harry Fetsick- Thanks to Dan Reeves this week for letting me know that Harry is now home! I spoke with Harry Friday. He is having PT at his residence and they are preparing to move to another county. He doesn’t have the address yet but I’ll post it as soon as I get it. I know he’d love to hear from the members.
Remember Harry and his family in your prayers as they make this transition in moving and his continued progress health wise.

Ref- Bill & Susan Dahlin- I spoke with Bill this afternoon and he told me he got home today from the hospital around 1:30p.m. today. One of his meds made him nauseated but after speaking with the Dr. it was normal. (He's now splitting the dose.)
The other good news is that his wife Susan has been discharged and is home now too. Let's give thanks for this and pray they won't have to return! Continue to keep them in your prayers.

"Dear Family, Friends and Faithful in Christ,
My single heart stint procedure was a success yesterday. I had to lay still for about an hour in the preparation/recovery room post-op. My heart doctor came by this morning and said I'm okay to be released today - probably after lunch and after all the charges are totaled up. Susan may also be released this afternoon. Her esophagus sphincter- upper stomach, post-op recovery was difficult. Oh! And yes! In a hospital gown one is all ready "to go" - except outside!!!

Ref.-BILL & SUSAN DAHLIN- As previously mentioned Susan Dahlin is still in the hospital after having surgery. Bill was scheduled to have stints this past Tuesday. It was postponed due to the infection on his leg and still in hospital. When I spoke with him the following Dr.s ,oncologist,kidney, and cardiologists were consulting along with the attending physcian. (His kidneys are possibly going into stage four and white blood count is up as well.) He hopes they will give him a date and time for his procedure.
Bill's cell phone is 817-903-6548. Bill is still in good spirits and still strong in his Faith. He and Susan continue to need your prayers during this time. He is in ARLINGTON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, Room 5017, Arlington, TX Remember calls, cards, emails ,and prayer goes a long way!

" Susan had an esophageal - stomach operation early this afternoon. Daughter Cindy is with her. Susan is suffering from post operation pain and is taking pain medicine 💊. I just got off the phone with Susan and Cindy after a very brief conversation and prayer. I visited with her late yesterday afternoon with Tim and Cindy. I'm staying home as I'm still recovering from my four day hospital stay and am waiting to have an angioplasty, heart artery stint operation early Tuesday morning. Thanks for prayers for Susan.
